Headings

What exactly is a curtain heading?
Simply put, it is the way in which the fabric is constructed at the top of the curtain. The choice of heading has a significant impact on the way in which the fabric falls.

Wave Top
A simplistic and minimalist look which is suited to most solid, patterned, and sheer fabrics.

Inverted Pleat
A contemporary heading with a small amount of fullness. It creates a relaxed and sophisticated aesthetic and works beautifully for both solid and sheers, as well as patterns being that there are no pleats to interrupt the pattern repeat

Pencil Pleat

The pencil pleat is a gathered header that allows you to easily achieve your desired fullness.

Single, Twin and Triple Pleat
The range of pleat headers are characterised by the number of folds/creases at the top (single, twin or triple) as well as the fullness, and the overall look each creates.

What is key purpose of the curtain?

It also important to consider what each curtain
purpose is. The different rooms in your home have different functions and therefore
thinking about each individual rooms purpose will help guide you as to what fabric,
linings, durability are best suited to it. For example a bedroom curtain purpose
is to create a space that feels private,
….. sleep and, so the choice lining can impact this.

Whereas a lounge or living space is generally busy and therefore fabric durability is important to consider.

Linings

The right choice of lining can also considerably impact heat loss in your home, so much so the professionally fitted lined drapes can reduce heat loss by 40-60%.
