Beginners Learn To Sew Class

Beginners learn to sew class. An introductory project to develop basic skills on a sewing machine. This class is held once a week over two weeks, 6pm until 8pm.

Our next 2024 class sets are:

• Tuesdays the 1st & 8th October
• Tuesdays the 5th & 12th November
• Tuesdays the 3rd & 10th December

This class is $150 for both evenings, including all fabric and supplies and machine hire if needed. Please let us know if you would like to borrow one of our machines at time of booking.

This class is designed for those who want help learning or reinforcing the basic beginner steps of sewing. It is perfect for any level of beginner, including those who have never touched a machine before!

Over the two evenings you will make a fully lined tote bag or a cushion cover with a zip.

Skills covered include:

• threading a sewing machine
• sewing seams
• machine confidence
• fabric handling
• seam matching
• sewing curves
• basic zips
