Lampshades Class: Sunday 09/02/2025 @ Copperfield Collective Paraparaumu

Join us for a 2 hour Drum Lampshade Making Class and create your very own drum lampshade (300mm diameter and 240mm high).

This class is a fantastic introduction to lampshade making, where you’ll learn the essential components and construction techniques needed to craft a lampshade from start to finish. We’ll cover everything from understanding the materials to assembling and finishing your lampshade.

Supplies are included, you will just need to supply your preferred fabric. We can source this for you from our extensive range of fabric to pre-order for a extra fee.

There will be refreshments and nibbles to keep you happy and creative.

You will also be able to take advantage of a 10% discount for all paints and products purchased on the day.

Guidelines for choosing your own fabric: 

• We recommend natural fibre fabrics, like linen and cotton.  
• Avoid silks, they can be tricky for beginners. 
• Light to medium weight fabric. 
• Minimum 140cm wide from selvedge to selvedge 
• Minimum 40cm drop of fabric. 

Please note: 

• Excluding fabric, all materials and morning or afternoon tea is provided. 
•  In the event, a workshop does not meet the minimum number of participants (3) and cancelled, students will be notified and offered new dates or the option of a full refund. 
• If you find you are unable to attend, please let us know so we can offer your place to another client. 
• We offer a full refund up to 7 days before class date, after that we offer a 50% refund on class fee.
